    Prinyer’s Cove Park & Boat Launch by Heather Ross

    Sunny, calm day with a few clouds forming. No rain in past 24 hours. Some seagulls and a loon on the water and songbirds heard but not seen. One boater had launched earlier from here. Water very clear.

    Overcast sky and very windy. Some parts of Picton had rainfall in past 24 hours. Some seagulls around ….weeds and algae as usual here.

    Partly cloudy and very windy today. No rainfall in past 24 hours. No visible signs of birds but could hear some songbirds in the woods.

    Pt. Petre Provincial Wildlife Area by Don Ross

    Sunny, hot & humid with little wind and calm waters. Thunderclouds forming over the lake, maybe bringing rain to some lucky areas but not us. Still experiencing drought conditions in PEC. Lots of seagulls and ducks in the bay here.

    Lack of rainfall this spring and summer leaves this location dried up to the point now where not enough water in the river to test.

    West end of Hamlet of Milford at furthest west end of Millpond by Don Ross

    Sunny with some clouds forming, windy and humid. Only 1 MM rain in past 24 hours. Few Canada Geese families feeding in the weeds near our test spot, songbirds, moths and dragonflies around too. So much green algae everywhere. Waterfalls and river feeding it and the pond are totally dried up with so little rain for well over a month.

    South Bay Cres Public Boat Launch by Don Ross

    Sunny with some clouds forming and windy and humid. Only 1 MM rain in past 24 hours. Some red winged blackbirds around, lots of lily pads and other weeds in and on top of the water.

    Outlet River at Bridge on County Rd 18 by Don Ross

    Overcast sky and calm with about 3 MM rainfall overnight. Some robins around, and lots of canoeists, kayakers and paddle boarders out on the river. Cottages are active now too. Large fish jumped when I was testing but didn’t see what kind. Some heavy weeds under the surface and lots of lily pads in some areas. Horseflies had a feast on me while I was testing.

    Cherry Valley Lions Memorial Park Boat Launch Dock by Don Ross

    Overcast sky with 3 MM rainfall in past 24 hours. Red winged blackbirds, songbirds, crickets , frogs & toads around the marsh. Fair bit of green algae bloom on the surface along the edges.

    Centennial Park in Town of Deseronto by Heather Ross

    Sunny and windy day with some chop on the lake. No rain in past 24 hours. A few seagulls in the air. Based on the empty trailers in the lot there are about 9 boats out on the water here now, but just one at the dock.

    There was a sour smell at the river bank and the river looks stagnant. There has been very little rain this spring.

    RVCA Watershed by Don Ross

    Sunny day with some clouds and moderate winds. No rain in past 24 hours. Lots of green algae bloom covering much of the marsh and many lily pads. Some frogs croaking here , few hornets and plenty of mosquitoes everywhere. Glider planes flying overhead from the nearby airport.

    Smiths Bay by Don Ross

    Sunny day with moderate winds and calm water on the lake today. No rain in past 24 hrs. Seagulls and swallows around today….love watching the swallows flying around catching insects. Minnows in the water near the shore. Sailboats being put into the water from dry dock and more in their moorings each time we come here.

    Little Bluff Conservation Area by Don Ross

    Sunny with a few clouds and calm winds. Less than 1 MM rainfall in past 24 hours. Water is very calm and lots of seagulls flying around and out in the lake. Few groups of people sitting along the beach. Spoke about Water Rangers with the summer student working at the front gate who is studying Environmental Science at Trent U, so thought she’d be keen to check out the website to see the data entered.

    Partly cloudy with fairly strong winds, enough to give a little chop on the water today. No rainfall in past 24 hours. Pair of Canada Geese out on the lake, black snake in the grass along the shore, and a young boy fishing from the deck….no catch yet!
