First Bridge on County Rd 28 by Don Ross
Mostly sunny with some clouds forming and very mild winds. No rain in past 24 hours. No flow at all in the marsh, which is mostly covered by a layer of green algae scum. Swans nesting nearby seemed unconcerned by me. Out in the more open water a grey heron was fishing and another sitting on a nest on the other side of the marsh.

It's being a beautiful spring so far. There are some nesting geese with babies as well as mallards that didn't go any further north this year.

Sunny and moderately windy. No rainfall in past 24 hours. Some chop on the lake. Few seagulls around , some songbirds and bugs.

Birdhouse City Pond by Don Ross
Sunny day with some high clouds and winds building up to be moderately strong. No rain in past 24 hours. Pair of ducks flew over and some songbirds heard in the distance. Green algae bloom clusters floating around on the surface of the pond in many places. Beavers keeping the levels up in spite of our recent month with little to no rainfall.

Picton Harbour at Mouth of Marsh Creek by Don Ross
Sunny with some high clouds and wind moderate. No rainfall in past 24 hours. Pair of ducks sitting on some muck in the low water near the culvert, otherwise no other wildlife around today.

West end of Hamlet of Milford at furthest west end of Millpond by Don Ross
Mostly sunny skies with a few clouds and wind mild but picking up a bit more. No rainfall in past 24 hours. Waterfalls above here are still flowing but not much due to drought and may dry up soon without some decent rainfall. Some songbirds around and earlier in the day there were swans with 4 singlets in tow on the pond. Some green algae bloom, pollen and scummy looking stuff floating in pockets where trapped in some spots.

East side of Hamlet of Milford K0K2P0 by Don Ross
Sunny skies with just a few clouds and mild winds. Lots of mosquitoes and black flies here today. Very low water levels where we test and not much coming over the dam from the millpond.

Sunny and calm with no rain in past 24 hours. Few red winged blackbirds around as always. Just barely enough water to test due to prolonged period with little to no rainfall.

South Bay Cres Public Boat Launch by Don Ross
Sunny and very calm. No rain in past 24 hours. Some Canada Geese flying by overhead. Songbirds around and some lake bugs.

Cherry Valley Lions Memorial Park Boat Launch Dock by Don Ross
About 5 MM rain today after 3 weeks with none at all, so very welcomed. Overcast and calm now so no current at all on the river. Swans seen out in the lake past the mouth of the river. Some water bugs on the surface and birds and crickets heard. A lone rabbit hopped along in the grass above the boat launch.

Overcast now and calm after raining lightly most of the day…about 5 MM in past 24 hrs after 3 weeks of drought conditions. No wildlife around to be seen or heard .
