    Cherry Valley Lions Memorial Park Boat Launch Dock by Don Ross

    Hazy day with calm winds. No rain in past 24 hours. Red winged blackbirds all over the place in the marsh and some bugs out & about too. Fisherman had just come in to dock up. Got talking with some local folks here who were interested in what our tests were about so gave them some info and the card to look us up online.

    West end of Hamlet of Milford at furthest west end of Millpond by Don Ross

    Sunny with hazy sky forming over now. No rain in past 24 hours. Pair of Canada Geese swimming along with 5 or 6 goslings in between them. Pair of swans further out in the millpond.

    No rain in past 24 hours. Sunny with hazy skies rolling in now. Less water in the river now. Some brown scum caught in the rocks....although I took readings there afterwards and not any significant difference.

    Prinyer’s Cove Park & Boat Launch by Don Ross

    Sunny day with some hazy sky developing. Calm water. No rain in past 24 hours. Summer dock not set up yet so tested off shore...depth reading will not reflect usual readings off end of dock. Swans, geese, ducks and seagulls out on the water and robins & songbirds in the trees here at the park.

    Prince Edward Point by Don Ross

    Sunny calm day with no rainfall in past 24 hours....or for over a week now. Few Canada Geese in the water and songbirds heard in the trees. Gentle waves lapping the edges of the limestone.

    Birdhouse City Pond by Don Ross

    Sunny with some cloud cover rolling in...not very windy . No rain in past 24 hours. A nice family with 2 young children were out walking the trails here and were interested in what I was doing so they got involved in helping me and earned their sticker badges :) They discovered a water beetle and we got to watch a young muskrat swimming around the pond as a bonus for us all. Some ducks and songbirds around too. Under the surface of the water appears to be some green egg clusters I think...possibly frogs eggs?

    Sunny calm day with no rainfall in past 24 hours. Summer dock not yet set up so tested off end of permanent dock. Some Canada Geese and seagulls around.

    First Bridge on County Rd 28 by Heather Ross

    No rain in past 24 hours. Sunny and calm day. Swans on the water on opposite side and other flying overhead. Some ducks and red winged blackbirds around too. Current flowing from other side of the road is quite strong today.

    Smiths Bay by Don Ross

    Sunny clear calm day with no rain in past 24 hours. Few ducks around on the water and some songbirds nearby. First small black bugs of the spring around now here and as I biked along. Water was clear with no visible algae yet the water appeared to have a green tinge to it for some reason.

    No rain in past 24 hours. Sunny and clear skies today with moderate winds and gusting. No wildlife around today and what would normally be a busy holiday weekend here with tourists is not the case today with the Covid lockdown in place. Just a few small groups here and there taking in the scenery.

    It's a beautiful Easter weekend. Lots of sunshine warm weather to come. The shore ice lasts for about three weeks after the river ice is gone. It's good for walking along if you're wearing crampons.
