    Upper Lake East by Susan Tuffin

    Water very clear, waterfall flowing fast. Very little life, swan family, few freshwater mussels. No dissolved oxygen measured Phosphate reading 1.7 on Hanna (cf 0.15 with chemical test) Ammonia x 1.214 = 0.04856 (cf N = 0 on chemical tests)

    Fox Wood Beck 3 by Jane Stanbury

    Up at the CSO outlet there was some foam and a blue tinge to the water but not so pronounced as previous months, and only a slight odour of drain water. There was a blue tinge to the water at the testing site. 100 metres downstream where the beck goes under ground in a culvert the water was really backed up and deeper than usual. There was grey clumps of silt on the bed - not sure what that was at all but it all looked quite murky - photo 3

    Fox Wood Beck 3 by Jane Stanbury

    At the outfall pipe there was discoloured blue water with foam and sewage rag, along with a drain smell. The water was still blue tinged at my testing site 100 meters down. It's being reported to the Environment Agency and Yorkshire Water. Lots of birds picked up on the Merlin app - nuthatch, chaffinch, green parakeet, goldcrest

    Waterloo Lake: NW Corner by Christopher Holmes

    water has lots of pond weed which isnt usually there. bubbles and scum in some places. no sign of animals. last weekend there was an iron man triathlon so 1000 people swam 2 miles in the lake!
