    Pamela Moriearty Low temperatures and snow event in early February led to ice on which persisted until 2/10/26 when higher temperatures led to areas of ice melt on Kickapoo Creek. Surface of nearby Brainards Branch was still ice-covered until 2/16/26.

    A male mallard duck and a young river otter enjoyed the stream today. Water was still, low, and green. Smelled of detergent.

    Schoenberger Creek at West Belleville Bikeway by David Laslie

    White throated sparrows and cardinals overheard nearby. The football that has been in the stream since early in the season is still there and doesn't appear to have moved any.
