    Lots of vegetation and boulders, be careful while approaching the water channel. Lots of boulders under the vegetation so mind your steps.

    Crystal Creek Case Rd by Community Volunteers

    Different types of Algae were spotted on this visit. Attached brown algae(diatoms), and another green algae which unsure of. And another species in a stagnant puddle where the overflow has been left dry. A beautiful frog was spotted in the stagnant puddle and buried itself in the mud. Two fry were spotted, unidentifiable in the water ripples. The lower side of the culvert is low and the sand island is bigger. The plants are overgrown and are prickly. Watch your arms- recommend long sleeve shirt and long pants to get to the sampling site through the wildflowers

    Cold Water Creek at Old Garden River Road by Community Volunteers

    There were scuddles or small shrimp on the banks- see pictures. There are three evergreens that were alive at the beginning of the seasonal and now have turned red. There are other red evergreens that I have spotted. Questioning if they were hurt overwintering in warm weather or if there is potential other reasons for this anomaly. Lots of Foliage be careful and watch for Cows parsnip which can cause itchiness. Long grasses make it hard to see the uneven ground.

    Overgrown plants, grass, wildflowers, invasive species, nightshade. The down to the water was difficult. The rocks were unpleasant to balance on.

    Sign of clay bank erosion upstream from the sampling location, beaver has built a new hut upstream on the opposite side where the channel is the deepest. Large pebbles beach, tripping/twisting ankle hazard. Evidence of water uses: Beaver hut.

    Animal carcass nearby, water level very low, lots of algae on rocks and pools around. Slippery slope.

    Canon Creek Old Goulais Bay Rd by Community Volunteers

    The water is not moving, the oily sheen looks like from nutrient decomposition. That is most likely the odour. The creek is so overgrown, it can not move. The other side of the bridge has been cut down and there is debris everywhere. The water can not move through the debris. The plants have overgrown so the sample on the left bank. Cut through the people's yard to the only opening by the creek. There is lots of bugs - wear bug spray. There is a stinging nettle in the field watch your feet and ankles. They could cause a reaction if rub up on them. The odour of decomposition.

    East Davignon Creek Allens Side (N of 2nd Ln W) by Community Volunteers

    There was a dead fox beside the site. Probably got hit by a car. The algae growth is abundant and has bloom mats on the shoreline of left bank. The area is hard to find a safe place to park. Parked in front of Avery Sign. The rocks going down to the water are big, watch your step. Sample from the right bank as the algae is closely up against the left bank. Odour of diesel.

    Crystal Creek Case Rd by Community Volunteers

    The ditch has been cut so there is a path now through the vegetation but still need to pass through lover-grown vegetation consisting of a lot of cows parsnip( can cause rash). The rip rap is not visible so be careful and watch footing.
