About this dataset

The Water Rangers Team is hosted by the Conservation Authority and is coordinated by NORDIK Institute, in collaboration with the City of Sault Ste. Marie.

The Sault Ste. Marie Water Rangers Team is a project that started as a partnership between NORDIK Institute and the Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority in 2023, funded by the Government of Ontario’s Great Lakes Local Action Fund.

The inaugural task team, comprised of students and recent graduates of Sault College and Algoma University, piloted the initiative in the winter of 2024. Today, the Team is hosted by the Conservation Authority and is coordinated by NORDIK Institute, in collaboration with the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
