    Boulders are uneven at this location. Wear boots if you want to enter the creek. Still saw fish but not as many as last week, could be due to heavy rainfall the day before. Mosquitoes are very prevalent at this location, carry bug spray.

    Colour on the Teststrip for pH is darker than 8.4. However, 8.4 is the highest number on the Teststrip; therefore , 8.4 is entered as a value. The ampoule colour was darker than 12 on the colour comparator while measuring Dissolve Oxygen. However, 12 is the highest number on the comparator, therefore, 12 is entered as a value. Ducks, Pigeons, and Geese observed at the monitoring location.

    Root River Old Garden River by Community Volunteers

    The walk down to the river is steep. The rocks have become increased eroded due to the heavy rainfall events. This had made the rocks unstable and is very difficult to approach unless wearing proper footwear. There algae present that resembled cladaphora but could not be certain. There was iron oxidizing bacteria on the shoreline and the waters surface. Photos were taken. There was an several schools of fish that resembled trout but could not be certain. There was a larger fish that jumped under the bridge. The fallen tree has been moved up on shore and is out form in front of the bridge. There were song birds present and a robin in the wildflowers.

    Cold Water Creek at Old Garden River Road by Community Volunteers

    The grasses, sedges and wildflowers have grown abundant and have taken over the trail and the banks of the creek. It is hard to see the ground when travelling to the sample site. The left bank edge is covered and grasses and it is hard to get to the surface water. There were wildflowers blooming, no signs or sounds from wildlife. There are multiple types of algae present not sure if they are different species, too hard to tell.

    Crystal Creek Case Rd by Community Volunteers

    The grass has gotten very high. The cows parnip which can cause irritation in human skin has bloomed. Monitors can not see the ground while walking through the grass. The rocks are uneven and so is the ground. Ensure to make loud noises so that any wildlife hidden in the grass can been notified of your presence. There were several song birds present. Two small fish jumped. There is an array of wild flowers that have bloomed. There are no sign of sea lamprey larvae or any that may have hatched in the gravel bed where the two lampreys were observed and identified.

    The dock is shaking, walk in the middle of the dock. There are ducks and seagulls. I could also see fish.

    No Pedestrian walk way from bus stop. It is so steep and easily slippery, also surrounded by long grass and surrounded by bush and trees. I see maple trees, long grown grass which forms bush and also lot of firms and Squirrels.

    Boulders are uneven; watch your footing. Though the water level is low, recommended to wear boots at this location. Lots of fish are observed here. This is the first time of this season to observe fish here.

    Lots of overgrown vegetation; dress accordingly. Boulders are uneven and lots of mosquitoes at the location. Dead fish which was observed during the last monitoring was gone. Lots of fish were observed at the location, and I haven't seen this many before at this location.

    Root River Old Garden River by Community Volunteers

    The rocks are uneven on the walk down the hill to the shoreline. Grassess have grown that have made it difficult to see where to safely put feet as walking down. Be careful. There was fishing line found once again. The river was barely moving but can be seen with flow upstream and just below the sampling location. There was some fish fry present, approx. 8-10. There was iron oxidizing bacteria on the right bank in two areas showing orange and red hues leaching from the substrate. There was no wildlife seen. No birds.
