    The site is sloppy, and it is slippery. Stormwater as a pollution source. A duck with ducklings was swimming in the creek. Observed a dead bird near the monitoring location. Creek is entirely covered with vegetation and barely can see the water to monitor.

    Big Carp River Herkimer Rd by Community Volunteers

    A bridge to access to the location is closed. Monitor upstream from the bridge when you access the location from Herkimer St @ Carpin Beach Rd. Lots of mosquitoes around, can't monitor peacefully without bug spray. After the monitoring, while cleaning the conductivity meter with a towel, I got electrocuted. The area of my finger was turned red, almost purple. During the excursion, a lot of static electricity was in the atmosphere due to the storm.

    Boulder are uneven, watch your footing. Some algae are observed and can be seen in underwater pictures.

    East Davignon Farwell Terrace (near Tim Hortons) by Community Volunteers

    Steep slope to access the monitoring location. You can park your vehicle in the Tim Hortons parking lot. Duck with her ducklings swimming in the creek. The water flow was very slow, it looked like it wasn't moving. There was a layer of dandelion seeds. pH colour on the teststrip was darker than 8.4, however, 8.4 is the highest number on the teststrips. Therefore, pH is 8.4 mentioned in the observation.

    Cold Water Creek at Old Garden River Road by Community Volunteers

    The site is safe to access, there is long grass which could stop community members from safely accessing the site. Be sure to watch your step , and be careful on slippery rocks. There was lots of bugs, please wear bug spray. The grass are long and ticks in the grass will climb up your pants. Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.

    Crystal Creek Case Rd by Community Volunteers

    The site is safe to access watch your step through the long grass, the uneven ground and random rocks can not be seen. Wear long pants and closed shoes, there is stinging needle and cows parsnip which can effect skin through causing pain, or rashes. The sea lamprey body from last monitoring event, remains of tail were still on site. The sand-gravel bottom where the lampreys may have laid their eggs can be seen in the pictures provided. No observations of the female sea lamprey from last week or any other., There is visible lamprey eggs or juveniles.

    Root River Old Garden River by Community Volunteers

    Grasses blocking rocks so it is hard to see the unlevel ground and boulders sticking up. Be careful when approaching the water. Iron-oxidizing bacteria observed near the monitoring location. There is natural debris formed on the water surface on left bank of the Root River. The tree which was the identifying feature for water level has fallen down and is blocking water flow on left bank. The water is considerably lower than last season. The white square box in the river with cord has been swept downstream compared to last season, see photos for comparison. See comparison for dominant substrate changes. The black flies and mosquitoes are bad- wear bug spray.

    East Davignon Creek Allens Side (N of 2nd Ln W) by Community Volunteers

    Boulders are uneven; watch your footing. Lots of mosquitoes are at this location, carry bug spray, otherwise you won't be able to monitor peacefully. I saw fish at this location for the very first time. Mosquitoes were giant, like a couple of inches big. The water level was really low at this time. Oily sheen was on the bank.

    Gros Cap - Lake Superior by Community Volunteers

    Big rocks, loose rocks, hard to walk on to get to the water. Brown Algae observed at the location. Algae also include rock snot, and didymo physical characteristics include dominant as cobble, subdominant as gravel, meadow, 0 canopy , salinity is 62, air temp is 22 ( Kiki will upload photos)

    Lots of overgrown vegetation on the steep slope with uneven terrain. Lots of ants on the ground. There was a foul odour in the are. Lots of fish were observed near the culvert. Snails were at the location. It was a layer of dandelion seeds on the water surface.
