    Centennial Park in Town of Deseronto by Heather Ross

    About 4 mm rainfall in past 24 hrs. Overcast and quite windy now. Fishermen just coming in to dock said they caught lots of bass. Father & son from Montreal fishing off the dock jsut catching some little fish. We talked about Water Rangers , showed them some tests and gave a card & they asked about cost for a kit...gave them our discount code too in case they wanted to order once home. Some ducks on the water and seagulls flying. Quite windy and choppy surface. Lots of seaweed chopped up from boats coming and going. Green algae bloom too.

    About 4 mm rainfall in past 24 hours. Overcast and drizzling right now.Calm winds. Lots of seaweed and some green algae. No wildlife around.

    West end of Hamlet of Milford at furthest west end of Millpond by Don Ross

    Just 1 MM rain in past 24 hours, Hazy, overcast and calm .No flow to the water. Some birds heard and seen, but not many. Pair of white swans further up the millpond. Waterfalls dry and lots of heavy weeds and green algae. Picked up a few pop cans and recycled them.

    East side of Hamlet of Milford K0K2P0 by Don Ross

    Only 1 Mm rainfall in past 24 hours, No water at all flowing over the dam for the past month or so and river bed is extremely dry. Had to walk out to middle to find some water to test which is indication of how dry this summer has been here. Lots of green algae and scum on water. Some birds can be heard and a few mosquitoes around.

    South Bay Cres Public Boat Launch by Don Ross

    Only 1 Mm rain in past 24 hours. Bit hazy, overcast and very calm. No current on creek at all. Water bugs and dragonflies , a frog and some birds heard but not seen. Lots of lily pads, weeds and green algae bloom.

    near Glenora, Prince Edward County by Deb Hudson

    It was raining and humid. There was a fisherman in a boat in the lake and close to the shore a school of small fish. There were several small groups of tourists. They asked questions and I told them about the Water Rangers website. I asked a couple to help me look at the dissolved oxygen scale to get a reading because they were quite interested in what I was doing.

    Pt. Petre Provincial Wildlife Area by Don Ross

    No rain in past 24 hours. Sunny with a few clouds beginning to form. Calm winds and gentle waves. Surprisingly no birds to be seen....just a few insects , caterpillar and nice brown butterfly. Family with a little girl came along and she helped me by finding the caterpillar . We talked about Water Rangers and they thanked us for what we’re doing.

    Cherry Valley Lions Memorial Park Boat Launch Dock by Don Ross

    No rainfall in past 24 hours. Sunny with mild breeze. No current on creek. Many monarchs and other butterflies, dragonflies, small fish, and a few red winged blackbirds here. Weeds and Lilly pads as usual in this boat launch area. Some boaters just heading out for a ride on East Lake so we chatted for a while about Water Rangers and some environmental issues they were concerned about.

    South Bay Cres Public Boat Launch by Don Ross

    No rain in past 24 hours. Sunny with mild breeze and no current on the creek. Weeds heavier than past tests here. Fish jumped, lots of waterbugs, dragonflies and birds heard and seen in the bullrushes mostly. As I was biking away an Osprey flew overhead being chased by blackbirds and delivered a fish meal to their young squawking away atop the hydro pole along the road.

    Little Bluff Conservation Area by Heather Ross

    No rainfall in past 24 hours, Sunny and calm winds and water. Single loon fishing offshore. Some monarch butterflies, dragonflies and small black spotted water snakes. Bit of green algae on the rocks near shore just under the surface.

    Very small amount of rainfall in past 24 hours. Overcast and windy today with choppy waves. Few seagulls flying around.

    Hartland New Brunswick by Don Ross

    No rainfall in past 24 hours, Sunny and light winds. Water is flowing normally . There is a new dock built now right beside where we used to test from the rocks so makes for easier access now and will get us bit futher into the river so depth will be slightly more now. Saw good sized large mouth bass under the dock as well as several schools of small minnows, Many seagulls, hawks ( Osprey ? ) , ducks, and few birds hovering then diving for fish....perhaps Kingfishers ?

    South Knowlesville, New Brunswick by Don Ross

    No rain in past 24 hours and has been quite dry for a while. Creek running well and very clear water. Lots of mosquitoes around here in the woods. Sunny , humid and calm winds.

    Churchill park Bancroft by Anna Mandalentsis

    Recent heat wave with intermittent heavy rainfall. No rainfall for 36hrs previous to testing this location. This section of river runs through the town of Bancroft and several homes back onto the river.

    Sunny, hot, humid and calm day with no rainfall past 24 hours and longer. No birds to be seen or heard and few dragonflies over the surface. Lots of heavy weeds under the surface and green algae bloom along the shoreline on surface and where it enters under the roadway from Marsh Creek.

    near Glenora, Prince Edward County by Don Ross

    Had about 14 MM rainfall in past 24 hours. Overcast and very calm this morning. Some small fish swimming in the water , birds singing in the trees and few seagulls further out over the lake. Rocks all had some green slime cover. Some tourists here from Toronto seemed interested in the water so talked with them about the testing we do and gave them a card to visit the Water Rangers site to learn more.

    Black River outflow to Lake Ontario by Don Ross

    No rain in past 24 hours. Sunny and calm day. Took measurements from the dock along the shore. Lovely big green frog sitting on the rivers edge and some water snakes checking things out....large one and smaller young one. Frog stayed for quite a while until snakes got too close then moved along. Some fishermen in their boat on other side of the bridge. Usual green algae bloom on the river and pollen floating in patches too. Dragonflies busy catching bugs . When I returned a bit after lunch to do the secchi depth there was a group of 4 young people eating lunch on the dock so we had a good conversation about Water Rangers and directed them to the site to learn more about it.

    Pt. Petre Provincial Wildlife Area by Don Ross

    Bit under 6 mm rain past 24 hours, Sunny and winds picking up here and making for some chop on the water. No water birds around today but many small birds in the woods , as well as a few monarch butterflies, mosquitoes and a green frog along the path in to the beach from the road. Usual garbage left around this spot but not able to take any away with me as I was riding my bicycle today doing my ride for kids cancer funding .https://greatcyclechallenge.ca/Riders/DonRoss

    West end of Hamlet of Milford at furthest west end of Millpond by Don Ross

    Just under 6 mm rainfall in past 24 hours.....sunny and calm winds this morning. Some water bugs on the surface along with green algae bloom. Some small birds around. Waterfalls still flowing but not very heavily at all now. Picked up beer can & bottle to recycle.
