    Bridge over Black Creek on Old Milford Rd by Don Ross

    Slightly overcast and moderately windy. No rainfall in past 24 hours but it was raining BLACKFLIES heavily while I was there. Did tests as quickly as I could then took sample back home in bike bag to do the rest of them. Seems they've hatched now that things are warming up after all the rainfall. Some songbirds, robins in the area too.......bring on the swallows and purple martins to eat some of these bugs now ( I ate a few myself while riding ! )

    Overcast, off & on lightly spitting rain. Calm winds. 1 MM rain fall in past 24 hrs. Water flowing heavily over the waterfalls and moving fast under the bridge into millpond. 3 white swans on the pond and lots of birds singing.

    Black River outflow to Lake Ontario by Deb Hudson

    We saw 2 swans, a water bug and heard a kingfisher. The sun was shining and there was a slight breeze. It had been raining for several days before today. We take the water depth from the bridge at Black River because the dock where we usually take the water samples from is removed for part of the year.

    Quite a lot of rain over past 24 hrs. Overcast with calm wind and water. Lots of people fishing along the dock today.

    Nonquon River Environmental Education Centre by Don Ross

    Quite a lot of rainfall in past 24 hours. Overcast and calm. Canada Geese, red winged blackbirds, swallows, chichadees & other birds seen and heard. Bullfrogs heard in the rushes. 2 canoes paddled by with families. Spoke with a young birdwatcher as I was leaving and gave him some info on Water Rangers so he can go to the site later.

    No rain in past 24 hrs. Quite windy, overcast and whitecaps on the lake. Lots of garbage strewn around the area here as always. No birds seen or heard.

    Little Bluff Conservation Area by Heather Ross

    No rain in past 24 hours. Calm winds and foggy....just beginning to burn off over the lake and shore. Loons swimming in the lake. Robins, songbirds , seagulls, squirrels around. Water has slightly greenish/blue tinge today.
