Root River Old Garden River by Community Volunteers
The beavers were not on the water but the sun was not hitting the waters surface yet. There were fish (3), resembled perch. There was blooms of orange algae around the iron oxidizing bacteria. There was an abundance of iron leaching fro the substrate and not only the shoreline. There was bacteria film present. There was new natural debris on the shorelines, probably from the beavers. It appeared so. There was a large water beetle (see videos). Will identify in photo.

Root River Wishart Park by Community Volunteers
There was increased heavy sediment on the substrate from the clay cliff. The water is lower but it has not rain in days- so it appears to be average. If the dam was not downstream the sample location would appear to be low (See photos). There is bacteria film along the shoreline where iron oxidizing bacteria is present. There were dogs in the water downstream from the sample site. They are building a park of some sorts- gravel piles are located at the entrance to the park. The new walking path bridge has eroded twice but construction crews have stabilized for now. SSMRCA reported this information to me.
