Observations

  • 26 October 2025

Little Carp River Carpin Beach Rd by Community Volunteers

Monitoring spot is changed due to erosion. Can't access the same monitoring spot as the water level is higher, and the dominant substrate is sand in the river.

  • 26 October 2025

Upper Carp River at Creek Rd/Third Line W by Community Volunteers

Again lots of foam is observed. Algae is also observed at the monitoring location and is only seen when sunlight hits that spot; otherwise can't see algae.

  • 26 October 2025

East Davignon Creek Allens Side (N of 2nd Ln W) by Community Volunteers

Water is higher than usual. Creek looks changed upstream. Creek is flowing wider than before and iron-oxidizing bacteria are washed away. All the algae is washed away as well. Only few brown attached observed.

  • 26 October 2025

East Davignon Farwell Terrace (near Tim Hortons) by Community Volunteers

  • 26 October 2025

Root River Wishart Park by Community Volunteers

The dam downstream from the monitoring location is broken, the river is flowing faster then last event, but still considerably low in comparison before the dam structure was built.

  • 26 October 2025

Cold Water Creek at Old Garden River Road by Community Volunteers

The water lower was still high but lower then last WQM event. Possibly a dam upstream? The teststrips from pH does not seem reliable. The strips are not expired, possibly damaged from weather.

  • 26 October 2025

Crystal Creek Case Rd by Community Volunteers

The Water level had increased substantially.

  • 26 October 2025

Root River Old Garden River by Community Volunteers

No beavers on the Water. This is the highest I have seen the Water since spring. There was foam and natural debris abundance on the waters surface.

  • 24 October 2025

Root River off Hwy 17 N (near Teen Challenge) by Community Volunteers

    chipmunk friends

  • 22 October 2025

Bellevue Park Topsail Island by Community Volunteers

    Some micro plastic, straws, wrappers

  • 22 October 2025

Drake St. Park by Community Volunteers

Vegetation seems like it was pressed down, could be wind

  • 22 October 2025

Bellevue Park duck pond by Community Volunteers

Colour on the Teststrip for pH is darker than 8.4. However, 8.4 is the highest number on the Teststrip, therefore this value is entered. A crow literally pooped on the sampling spot from above, he/she was sitting on the branch above. XD

  • 20 October 2025

Little Carp River Carpin Beach Rd by Community Volunteers

The water level is high, and the right bank is eroding. Due to the high water level, couldn't monitor from the exact monitoring location.
