There is a large amount of algae growing on the substrate where the clay is resting on the gravel. It has doubled since last week. the beavers have been busy and have built a low key dam , which is still allowing enough water to flow for no on to notice. They have decorated the surrounded area nicely.

The water looks different compared to usual. It's cloudy with foam on it. Still the water is coming from underground down stream from monitoring location and mixing into the creek and flowing into Bennett Creek through the culvert.

The water in the river is not moving at all, and the entire surface is covered in leaves and foam.

The water level is slightly higher than last week. Some of the sand from upstream of the monitoring location has eroded, which might be from a rainfall event.

Location is getting covered more with leaves. Upstream from the monitoring location has lots of foam, which has never been seen before. See pictures for the details.

East Davignon Creek Allens Side (N of 2nd Ln W) by Community Volunteers
Only a few fish are at the location. As we entered in the fall, lot more natural debris covering the creek. Clearly observed the old algae, which turned into a brown colour, and new algae growth in green colour. Also observed a snail walking on the creek bed under the water.
