    It was overcast and windy though the sun came out occasionally. People were out fishing and boating. It had rained a few days prior, and the water looked brown.

    The river stage is falling, but still about four feet higher than usual, and still receding from recent heavy rains. Lots of human traffic is observed on the scenic old bridge.

    The river level is observed falling, and has been 15ft higher due to heavy rains one week ago. The water clarity is muddy.

    River very high, tremendous amount of foam on river and up pelahatchie creek; about 20 egrets on banks and in trees; a few seagulls; all 8 gates open, high water flowing fast

    West Spillway Dock by Laura Luke

    The water was high. Lots of white foam in the water and birds flying around. There were lots of people fishing, and it was the most busy I’ve ever seen. It was a really nice day to be out.
