Pearl River at Carroll Loop by Theresa Thornhill

The water was too deep for me to measure. Water temp is lower that Mill Creek! I double checked and 10 was what it was showing. Since Ecoli and Other Coliforms were unusually high, I've included pics of the RCards. I checked some notes that I had printed out about counting and it said to be conservative. Let me know what you think about the wide areas of "pink". I decided to not count those in my numbers.

    East Spillway by LeAnn Nealey

Light rain; light rain during night. One gate open, water level covering bars. Egrets, herons, about a dozen white pelicans under spillway and upriver, seagulls

  • 19 January 2025

West Spillway Dock by Laura Luke

Water was high today. LOTS of different birds! The water was cloudy. It was very cold out, and the wind was not fun. The sun started coming out toward the end of my testing.

Old Trace Park by Jennifer Sigrest

Sampling was the most challenging it has been today due to lower water depths and the hill of rocks at the shore. Samples were taken when waves would arise, making it possible to reach the water. But the results seem inaccurate compared to sampling history at this site.

  • 29 December 2024

    East Spillway by LeAnn Nealey

2 gates open; river up- all logs and bars covered; many seagulls on and above river; many egrets roosting in trees; some herons trying to land on submerged logs

West Spillway Dock by Laura Luke

People were out fishing, and I spotted lots of goose tracks. There were a lot of different birds!
