    It appears that someone removed the invasive plant species that is typically found in the water near the boat launch ramp. I did not see any floating plants in this area.

    East Spillway by Laura Luke

    Sunny day and pretty windy. Saw a great blue heron, a water turtle (too far away to tell what type), little fish, and lots of spiders and grasshoppers. I used the dip net to test, but could only sample from the side of the creek as the water was currently too high to wade.

    It was a sunny day, not too hot, but windy. I saw birds, butterflies, wasps, and dragonflies. People were out fishing and not much litter was present.

    Water was too turbid to see dot in column at 50 mL, so repeated turbidity assessment at 25 mL. The parking lot was packed and multiple boats were passing to and from launching.
