    Old Trace Park by Sheila Kearney

    The rain was about to start at the time of water sample collection. The water was choppy and the concrete barrier was wet. No geese were present and no evidence of geese was found around collection site. Walkers were on the path.

    The geese were back at collection site. The water was slightly choppy and occasionally flowing over concrete barrier. Mushrooms were also present near collection site.

    Natchez Trace Overlook by Leigh Horn

    Shad schools (according to Andrew) feeding at surface of water. Between 12 and 15 Canadian geese on the shore. No rainfall in the past 24 hours. Very calm water. No wind.

    Water slightly choppy, occasionally lapping over concrete barrier. No evidence of geese at collection site. Rained within 24 hours. Brown, foamy scum on top of water.

    Light rain within the 24 hours prior to sampling. Two boats near sampling area with people swimming and tubing. Someone was walking her dog near the water. Sunny and warm. The water was quiet.
