Humber Bay Park West by Korice Moir
Glorious sunshine. Little wind. A few clouds. Modest waves. Richard stopped by to chat. Ducks at our feet. This site was built with landfill, old brick pieces visual evidence. These tests were with regular strips. Machine learning strips under separate posts. Also see phosphates under Testers’ post.

Deacon Boat Launch by Kim Emde
Observations taken as part of Celebrate Our Rivers and township community event. Measurements taken off the end of the dock. A chipmunk is living underneath the dock. There are geese flocking, and a few ducks.

Harris Narrows by Kim Emde
Observations taken as part of Celebrate Our Rivers group paddle. Location is said to be Wilson's bay, and water was sampled on the lee of a pickerel weed bed on the southern point. It was a sunnier spot out of the wind. Flocking geese, mallard ducks, belted kingfishers, and cattle in the field, which were blocked from the river by electric fence. Very windy and wavy.

Site A. Splashed! High waves this morning! Undertow. Pebbles pushed up significantly. Seagulls. Visual plume along shore. Algae floating on surface. Common green darner dragonfly spotted in Humber Bay Park West trail (west of Site A). See phosphates under Testers’ observation.

Visited with lots of female ducks. No males in sight. Two swans in the distance. Quite a bit of algae along shoreline of pond.

Planes (Canadian National Exhibition air show), seagulls, cormorants. Sail boats. Two para-sailers. Dog walkers. A few watching the air show from the pier. Not many others on the beach this time of day. Away for the long weekend?

Site A. Clean of debris on immediate shoreline. Seagulls. Quite a few dog walkers. Took E. coli samples to Swim Drink Fish lab to help with processing same day with Humber Bay West testing team, as well as analysis in the lab the next day. Update: Unfortunately Humber Bay did not pass the test for E.coli.

Great afternoon for a kayak, and a quick dip in the river to cool off on a hot day. Lots of paddlers enjoying the weekend. Super warm (and clean) water!

Clean calm water. Note low conductivity. Light breeze. No birds expect a solitary loon calling out. Campers in the background but otherwise a wild bit of nature. Glorious.

Early morning thunder storm delayed Lake Ontario Swim Team (L.O.S.T.) Mile Swim by an hour or so, but the water was warm (with a wetsuit!).

Humber Bay Park West by Korice Moir
Wave action today like no other. Even some white caps! Saw the Humber fox just before getting to the beach. It was a treat sampling with Alysse from Swim Drink Fish / Lake Ontario Waterkeeper. She took E. coli samples to lab. Also noted cormorants flying above. Water Rangers’ testkit used at Site C.
