South Knowlesville, New Brunswick by Don Ross
Overcast and windy day, with minimal rainfall over past 24 hours and very little for many weeks here. Some bugs around and minnows and a few leeches in the water. Only 1 section of stream has water flowing now, usually has 2, and the pond created by the beavers last year isn’t here now so levels much lower were we test.

Platform still closed off to public so usual spot for measuring depth not available to me so I did estimation. Some green slime on the rocks but water very clear as always here.

West end of Hamlet of Milford at furthest west end of Millpond by Don Ross
Sunny and very windy day. Drought conditions persist here in this part of The County as you can see in the photos. The millpond retains a certain level anyway so has to be fed from springs under it. Some dragonflies around but no birds...too hot for them. Lots of wild carrot weeds growing here.

19 July 2020
Little Bluff Conservation Area by Don Ross
No rain in past 24 hours but clouds today give some hope that we’ll get some along with thunderstorm activity. We need rain so badly in The County. No wildlife to be seen or heard due to all the people here along the beach and everywhere else, along with so much garbage left behind by thoughtless people. Conservation areas like this one used to be free but the past few years have parking charges applied due to having to pay others to clean up after selfish slobs!
