West end of Hamlet of Milford at furthest west end of Millpond by Heather Ross

Sunny clear day with no rain in past 24 hours. Lots of water flowing now over the falls and into the river feeding the millpond. Some songbirds heard but none of the usual geese and swans on the pond at this time. Few days ago we saw a family of 4 otters swimming along near the bridge here.

  • 2 November 2022

Prince Edward Point by Don Ross

Sunny calm day with a few thin clouds in the sky and less than 1 MM rain in past 24 hrs. Some birds in the trees. Haven’t tested here for a while because most times these ledges have water on them so can’t get out easily to the test site where the ledge drops into the lake. This year has been so dry and the lake is out so low that it’s accessible again.

  • 2 November 2022

Long Point Harbour by Don Ross

Sunny, calm day with just a few thin cirrus clouds and less than 1 Mm rainfall in past 24 hrs. Some Canada Geese and seagulls in the water ( where there is enough ) and a green frog hopped in along the shore. The harbour is showing its muddy bottom almost everywhere now, with green algae too. Never seen this harbour as low as this before!

  • 26 October 2022

Picton Harbour at Mouth of Marsh Creek by Don Ross

Partly cloudy and mild winds, with no rain in past 24 hrs. Few seagulls around and a few suckers or carp splashing around in the tiny bit of water that was in the mucky end of this lagoon. If they’d gone much away from that they’d have been stuck in the muck.
