  • 9 May 2017

  • 20 April 2017

Perch Creek Headwaters by Meagan Coughlin

Many larvae attached to rocks and vegetation, possibly a caddisfly hatch, stream is flowing very fast but isn't flooding. Spider spotted. No birdsong, probably due to incoming rain and heavier traffic than usual.

  • 5 April 2017

  • 5 April 2017

Perch Creek at Doyle Road by Couchiching Conservancy

Heard sandhill cranes and ducks calling in distance, 2 water striders observed, heard chickadees and Eastern Phoebe at site. Depth was not taken due to water being too deep and fast moving to measure safely.
