    Perch Creek at Doyle Road by Couchiching Conservancy

    Water is extremely clear, sculpin sighted, chickadees heard calling, some algae growth on river bed still.

    Perch Creek Headwaters by Meagan Coughlin

    Thin layer of ice on edges of creek. Small minnow (approx 5cm) sighted- possibly a dace of some kind. Cattails gone to seed, no birdsong heard. Squirrels chattering in the distance

    Chickadees, pileated woodpecker, blue jay sighted.

    Saw a ruffed grouse crossing the road near the bridge, lots of chickadees and a downy woodpecker sighted near the site.

    Rain previous night, 8 degrees celcius, north wind at approx 30 km/h.

    Crows and chickadees observed, vegetation is starting to decompose along the banks.

    Perch Creek Headwaters by Meagan Coughlin

    Stream bed on each side of the test site is devoid of water flow. It is mucky, not dry, but there is no visible water flow. It was like testing water in a clean, relatively clear puddle. There is very little water in the culvert. Vegetation along the banks has not started to decompose. bumble bees, butterflies and squirrels.

    Steady traffic, lots of 18 wheeler trucks, very noisy, chickadees, a hawk, crows, a bumblebee, lazy mosquitoes and an angry chipmunk.

    Perch Creek at Doyle Road by Couchiching Conservancy

    The following wildlife was observed at this site today: chipmunks, chickadees, large leopard frog, large black water beetle, blue jay, hornets, monarch butterfly.

    Perch Creek at Doyle Road by Couchiching Conservancy

    Big black bear spotted on the road approximately 0.7 kilometers from the site. 2 frogs, lots of crickets, caddisfly larvae in water, damselflies and dragonflies, angry chipmunk still there. Heard a snipe calling in the distance.
