Access creek on right side of bridge through willows. Avoid the private property. Watch out for a willow (salix) or alder( Alnus) in the eye. Shrubs are thick. Possible hard to access when foliage arrives. Lots of vegetation in the water, woody debris and indication of decomposition. Willow( Salix) and Grey alder( Alnus) many sedges and grasses. Very wet area. There was overflow last week but the water is much lower. The house with the lawn in front was using a tractor by lawn. Adjacent to sample site.

There was a sewage smell this visit very mild but when wind stopped could smell. Could be coming from culvert( decomposition) could not be sure. Sedges and grass was in sample area turning green that are half submerged in water. 3 metres above sample site is a buildup of woody debris. There is zero canopy cover with meadow on left and right bank. Only remains of cut down willow and grey alder.

Root River Old Garden River by Abdul Bari Khan
Could not get bank full width or wetted width. Too deep, too fast and too unsafe to cross as deeper than weighters on left bank side. Left bank side is private property. Will need to get creative with this measurement.
