Root River Wishart Park by Community Volunteers
THE TERRAIN IS VERY UNSAFE. THIS SITE CAN NOT BE ACCESSED WITHOUT PROPER GUIDANCE. The terrain is snow covered with approx., 1 meter of snowpack. The left and right banks snow escarpments are hard packed, and unstable. The water is flowing under left bank and has created an overflow approx. a meter wide. The area is unsafe for anyone to enter unless you are trained in snow and ice readiness, survival, ad safety awareness and working near water in winter. ONLY GO WITH KIKI. She is certified. Ice on the water surface. Park/Recreation is a pollution source in the immediate surroundings. Water colour: Orange. No sign of wildlife. There was one pine siskin heard and spotted. The river is split into two, there is much overflow and ice. The clay cliff looks as if it had a slide.

Cold Water Creek at Old Garden River Road by Community Volunteers

The left and right banks snow escarpments are hard packed, and unstable. The water is flowing under left bank and has created an overflow approx. a meter wide. The area is unsafe for anyone to enter unless you are trained in snow and ice readiness, survival, ad safety awareness and working near water in winter. ONLY GO WITH KIKI. She is certified. There was approx. 1 meter of snow pack. The snow was firm. No sign or sound of birds. There was green alive Canadennis milifollia in the stream.

Crystal Creek Case Rd by Community Volunteers
THE TERRAIN IS VERY UNSAFE. THIS SITE CAN NOT BE ACCESSED WITHOUT PROPER GUIDANCE. The terrain is snow covered with approx., 1 meter of snowpack. The left and right banks snow escarpments are hard packed, and unstable. The water is flowing under left bank and has created an overflow approx. a meter wide. The area is unsafe for anyone to enter unless you are trained in snow and ice readiness, survival, ad safety awareness and working near water in winter. ONLY GO WITH KIKI. She is certified. It is safe for Kiki, her mother was used as a emergency contact. She text upon arrival to each site and text a thumbs up when she left. Storm water is a source of pollution in the immediate surroundings. Water Colour: Orange. There was no birds or wildlife seen. No wildlife tracks. There was approx. 1 meter of snow pack at the site. The tree that was hanging in the river last season has fallen and is in the creek. It could become a problem at the culvert if a fast melt occurs. This should be monitored.

Be careful on the snowbanks as they are melting. Water flow is very strong because of the rainfall and snow melting. Water level influences dilution. Ice on the water surface. Storm Water as pollution sources in the immediate surroundings.

Cold Water Creek at Old Garden River Road by Community Volunteers
Snow started melting. Park the vehicle on Old Garden River Rd and put some traffic cones in front as well as at the back of the vehicle and if possible turn on the flashing lights of the vehicle for safety. Snowbank is melting so be careful while climbing on. Use big grab pol to grab a water sample.

Be careful walking on the snow. A bridge is being built downstream. Snow started melting so do not walk on the snowbanks near the river. The surface of the river is partially frozen so do not go near the frozen surface. Park/Recreation as pollution sources in the immediate surroundings.

East Davignon Farwell Terrace (near Tim Hortons) by Community Volunteers
Be very careful with the snow. Snowbanks started melting and water is floating under the snow surface so be very careful on the slope. Use a big grab stick to collect the water sample. Not recommended to solo. Ice on the water surface.
