Turtles laying on logs in the sun. Water Lillies are in full bloom. Weeds are abundant in the channel. Water is noticeably brown in colour. One motorized watercraft drove slowly down Bonnechere River, no wake (hooray!)

Ferguson's Bay by Jenn Cuff
The water is calm with a clean surface. Sea gulls are flying around and floating on the water. Ducks with babies floating on the surface & diving underwater. Canada geese with babies floating on the river. The shoreline flowers are in full bloom.

Temperature yesterday heavy rain all day. Temperature today cloudy. Dark brown fast moving water higher than usual. A lot of very big dead trees in the water across the creek. Garbage on shore.

It was a clear morning but the water level is low. I have attached some pictures of a new island west of the Island Park Bridge. Westboro Beach was very busy as it has been this summer with the warm temperatures.

Observed a family of ducks swimming in the calm water. Many motorized watercraft on the River. Surface of the water is clean. Water is clear with good visibility of the bottom.

The water is calm other than boat waves. Fourteen motorized watercraft can be seen on the Ottawa River, from Ferguson's Bay. Water clarity is good; can see deeper than usual. Water surface is clean.
