Leake County Water Park by William W Mitchell

  • 18 June 2025

    Lakeshore Park by Nicole Mills

People swimming. Smelled manure on grass area near beach.

  • 18 June 2025

Pearl River at Carroll Loop by Theresa Thornhill

Water was too deep to measure. Heavy downpours in the afternoon everyday for the last few days. With it predicted to continue until the end of the week---I decided to go ahead and test both bacteria and chemistry elements. No River Flow or River Stage info available from the website. No readings for a couple of days.

  • 17 June 2025

    East Spillway by LeAnn Nealey

River up, but not too high; 2 gates wide open on spillway; herons and egrets as sun is coming up

  • 14 June 2025

    Madison Landing by Jennifer Sigrest

Partly cloudy with some light rain sprinkles as sampling began. About half of the first sample taken rolled off the R-card, which may explain the significant difference in coliforms from that sample from the others

  • 14 June 2025

    Lakeshore Park by Nicole Mills

No people swimming at time of test. Geese nearby. Big rain night before.

  • 12 June 2025

  • 11 June 2025

Pearl River at Carroll Loop by Theresa Thornhill

The river is way down from where it has been the last few months. On and off rain for several days prior to testing. I was a little stunned at the results considering the sewage spill in Jackson. I wonder if the reduced water level of the river and the spring water flowing from a couple of places right beside where I test contributes to the benign test results.

  • 11 June 2025

Hwy 59 Pump Slew by Kevin Olsen

This observation produced the lowest colony count I've reported to date. It is also the first time collecting samples after a full night of rain and a early morning collection time.

  • 6 June 2025

    Pelahatchie Creek by Stacey Knepple

A man was foraging for wild berries when I arrived; last pic is of the berry patch (between parking lot and walking pier).
