  • 22 February 2026

River Wey - Godalming by duck feeding platform by Alyson Canton

  • 21 February 2026

Polsted Lane/Withies Lane stream by Trevor Murrells

Streams feed into the test location from the woodlands to the west. Quite a few trees were removed last year by Loseley Estate (photos taken 4th March)

  • 20 February 2026

From Godalming Treatment Works by Andrew Lockett

Level in the culvert high and slow flowing (I guess as sluice gates up to minimize flow into the new works).

  • 20 February 2026

    East Lagoon by Andrew Lockett

Lots of rain so very low in N+P

  • 20 February 2026

Unstead Exit (outflow) by Andrew Lockett

New scrape just opened up so flow very disturbed, but surprisingly not high in N & P

  • 20 February 2026

Outflow from GSTW into Wey Natural River: Trunley Heath Road by Trevor Murrells

Branches have fallen into the river near the outflow weighed down by ivy. The outflow pipe was submerged so it was not possible to sample directly from the pipe but near to it so today's result should be judged accordingly. The river level was high but not flooding into the adjacent field.

  • 20 February 2026

Small pool on UWNR near to GSTW outflow, east side of Trunley Health Road by Trevor Murrells

Green-blue algae floating on the surface of the pool, washing machine smell was apparent.

  • 20 February 2026

Natural Wey River at Unstead close to bridge (Northside) by Trevor Murrells

Water level high but not as high as last month with some degree of flooding into the field on the east side of the river (with the ponies)

  • 25 January 2026

Peperharrow swimming spot, by fish bypass by Alyson Canton

  • 25 January 2026

From Godalming Treatment Works by Andrew Lockett

N lower than usual, I guess due to the recent rain increasing flow through the STW.

  • 25 January 2026

Landings Wood Stream by David M Jones

Little new to report. But, after about a week of persistent rain and drizzle in this location/area, the stream is unusually low, although flowing well. In contrast, the River Wey — from which the stream flows and then into which the stream flows again when it rejoins the main river — is surging and flowing several feet higher than average. It has flooded part of the adjacent water meadows [Lammas Lands], and is unusually high all the way to Guildford, 4 miles downstream, and beyond.

  • 25 January 2026

    East Lagoon by Andrew Lockett

Both N &P low due to all the recent rain

  • 25 January 2026

Unstead Exit (outflow) by Andrew Lockett

Some clearance around the entry point to the Battery recently, in preparation for the major works by Thames Water due to start next week.

  • 25 January 2026

Farncombe boat house by Nicola 2

    Clearer than after last weekend

  • 25 January 2026

River Wey - Godalming by duck feeding platform by Alyson Canton

  • 23 January 2026

Outlet into Pond Wood by Trevor Murrells

A decision has been taken to stop testing here until an invasive acquatic plant (Crassula helmsii) which is found close to the two outflow pipes has been removed, to stop it from spreading elsewhere. The pond has refilled again after the recent rainfall.
