    Creek mostly frozen to a depth of 1.5", however it is still flowing in a small pocket nearest the culvert. This is where I obtained sample today.

    North Branch Chicago River at Edgebrook Woods by Alan Matson

    Another big snow ending yesterday. Lots of salt spread on our local streets near the river. So chlorine should be increasing, and up 100 since last week! Now very cold. Ice crystals forming on the river and condensing to slush. The banks are starting to freeze. Whole river should freeze over next couple of days

    Terrace View Park Pond in Lombard, IL by Tony Ream

    Had a lot of snow the last couple days with the snow plows and salters out in force. Had a lot of snow and caught the back part of the storm with a very slushy mix. This is the first time I have seen the water actually flowing. The pond is frozen with the water moving underneath toward the outlet.

    Reading was > 620 ppm. Test strip showed 9.2 Q units but chart stops at 7.8 Q units which is 620 ppm. Reported max ppm number from chart as instructed.

    The Quantab Units result was actually 8.8 indicating that the PPM of Chloride would actually be over the amount of 620 as reported. The roads had been heavily during the previous 24 hours or more.
