The season's first snowfalls, which started on January 12, 2024, resulted in the roads being salted. The chloride level increased from 154 ppm on my December 11, 2023 test to 231 ppm today.

About 10-12 inches of snow since last monitoring session, and very cold temperatures recently. I had to break the ice open in a very muddy area, so the sample was muddier than normal.

samples taken under ice, water quality test= 700PPM, drinking water test= 500PPM. Results were taken in front of culvert, only location with available flowing water, accuracy of chloride readings are affected.
