    Fullersburg Woods near Rainbow Bridge by Stephanie Rens-Domiano

    Water seems not as silty as in past years and flowing nicely. So much clearing happening in all the woods to get rid of invasive species. They burned the brush collected and the area smells of smoke. Not much in the way of sporing blooms, too much clearing and burning has happened.

    Fullersburg Woods near Flat Bridge by Stephanie Rens-Domiano

    Water seems not as silty as in past years and flowing nicely. So much clearing happening in all the woods to get rid of invasive species. They burned the brush collected and the area smells of smoke. Not much in the way of sporing blooms, too much clearing and burning has happened. Saw a great blue heron overhead! 2 downy woodpeckers chasing each other about. Still seeing juncoes.

    Water running fast. I see squirrels, hear birds, greening bushes.

    River Park Boathouse by Susanna Lang

    Mostly geese, a few mallards. Half a mile south, a gull was eating a large dead fish floating in the river. Fishermen on both sides of the river in this location. Stronger outflow from the canal than last week.

    Salt Creek Park Forest Preserve by Tom Kubica

    Sunny, chilly windy. Cumulus clouds. Path and grass wet from rains on Tuesday. Deer prints near bridge. Saw 3 Squirrels, 1 Red tailed hawk, 1 Eastern Phoebe, 2 Canadian geese, 2 Mallard ducks, 4 Robins, 1 Cardinal, 1 Golden crowned kinglet, 1 Northern Flicker, 1 Hairy woodpecker, 4 Red-bellied woodpeckers, 2 Blue jays.
