    Sunny day, out collecting benthics amongst the dense aquatic plants to the left of the boat launch. Quite a few people out on the water today enjoying this weather. A family in a small metal boat fishing just off shore amongst the weeds. Many damselflies and dragonflies buzzing around the swamp. Wind 7 km W, 72 % Humidity, 101.3 kPa

    Sunny, Wind 7 km W, 72% Humidity, 102.3 kPa. Played with Leia at our regular spot. Lots of people enjoying this beautiful day on the Ottawa River. A family was fishing off the dock for bass, pickerel and pike. Collected benthic samples from 2 regularly monitored areas. Dragonfly larvae, Caddisfly larvae, Scuds and Water Mites consistently noted in this area.

    Pleasant weather. Good day for paddling. Lots of fish jumping in the eddies. Warm water. Many different birds along the river. Observed a great blue heron.

Consistently shallow water with a large amount of submerged aquatic vegetation. A family of mallard ducks 🦆 hunting for food amongst the vegetation, counted 6 babies being shown the ropes 🦐
