    Sunny, partial CC 50% (Cloud Cover), 3 Groups noticed rafting down the Ottawa River. Collected benthics cuz that's what I do for fun!! #bugnerd Lots of mosquito larva, water beetles and mayflies collected within standing water pools scattered along the shoreline bedrock.

    Portage - du - Fort Boat Launch by Jennifer Valentine

    Partly cloudy, Wind 7 km E, 54% Humidity, 101.2 kPa Water snake noticed at shore swimming in the dense submergent vegetation. Lots of algae in this location noticed on this surface water, mainly contained in the swampy inlet to the left of the docking area.

    Overcast and cool. Wind 6 km W, 88% Humidity, 101.2 kPa. Cleaned up some garbage but didn't have enough room for bigger items. Might be a good spot for an annual shoreline clean up as it is easily accessed with parking available. This sample location is at the mouth of the Muskrat River where it joins the Ottawa River.

    Wind 7 km NE, 101 kPa, 47% Humidity. Down at the river playing with the dog. A local camp site on the border of QC and ON. Fast running current, mostly shallow with a few deep pockets where fish like to hide from the fast moving water.
