    River stage 22.5' at USGS Hwy 25 downstream gauge, river running higher because of recent rainfall and release from upstream reservoir spillway. Test site sandbar mostly underwater except very top of bar.

    A LOT of mayflies around the water and on all the plants around the shore and some dead in the water. Also spotted a duck, birds, a turtle.

    Bear Creek in Tishomingo State Park: approximately .25 miles upstream from Swinging Bridge by Katherine Talbert

    Water level was high and current swift due to recent precipitation. A turtle was observed in the water and a skink was observed on a rock near the creek bank.

    Water was at least 2 ft higher at test site than last week. Last 2 pics are of foamy stuff that shows up every time the water is high. I've asked around and most people believe it is from a paper mill in Monticello. Do you have any idea what it is?
