Observations

  • 25 July 2017

    Westboro Beach by Geneviève Barry

No swimming allowed today (big storm on the previous day, which also explains why the conductivity was so high). Small waves, a few boats. Tall weeds growing further away from the beach.

  • 23 July 2017

Britannia Beach, shoreline by Geneviève Barry

Cloudy day with a slight drizzle. A few swimmers. Long green type of weed (not much though) that grew close to the shore but away from the beach and swimming area. Smelt muddy. Piece of glass on the shore!!! Samples were taken from the shore, which might explain the higher water temperature and quantity of dissolved oxygen. Didn't do the depth test because the depth was insufficient.

  • 22 July 2017

    Aylmer Island by Kathleen Murr

Sunny, breezy day. Lots of sailboats out on the water. We picked up some garbage that was left on the beach of the island. Secchi depth taken from a canoe off shore.

  • 20 July 2017

Westboro Beach Swimming area by Kathleen Murr

Calm, still evening. A few people out enjoying the beach, one person swimming. Lots of fireflies in the bushes.

  • 19 July 2017

    Parc Moussette by Kathleen Murr

At the beach for "La Fête des Plages." Lots of people out. Hot and muggy.

  • 19 July 2017

    Stanley Park by Kathleen Murr

Muggy and hot. Light sprinkle of rain during part of sampling.

  • 18 July 2017
