    Long Point Harbour by Don Ross

    Mostly sunny with high cirrus clouds and no rain in the past 24 hrs. Some seagulls, ducks, cormorants, swans and loons around on the water and in the air…dragonflies too. Spoke about Water Rangers testing with some groups of people walking around the dock area and some fishermen who were coming in with their boats who all were asking about what I was doing and seemed appreciative. Fishermen had been catching wallets and small mouthed bass.

    Partly cloudy and very windy with whitecaps on the water today. Small bit of rain in past 24 hrs. No birds or insects around in these winds.

    Mostly sunny with some clouds and no rain in past 24 hrs. Quiet here today with nothing other than a few butterflies and moths seen.

    Cherry Valley Lions Memorial Park Boat Launch Dock by Don Ross

    Partly cloudy day with no rain in past 24 hours. Water surface looking pretty grungy at the boat launch point. Fair amt of green algae bloom on the river , cat tails, bullrushes & other growth. No wildlife seen or heard at this time. Spoke with a couple who were paddle boarding along the river about Water Rangers when they asked about the testing I was doing.

    Point Petre Provincial Wildlife Area by Don Ross

    Mostly sunny with some clouds over the lake and not too windy. Bit of rain overnight. No wildlife seen here at this time. Had a chat with a local couple on the beach about Water Rangers and the testing we were doing & gave them a card to visit the website if they wish.

    Little Bluff Conservation Area by Don Ross

    Partly cloudy with about 1 MM rain in past 24 hrs. Rolling waves coming to shore today although winds are mild. Some green algae bloom on the rocks close to shore. No wildlife seen or heard today.

    West end of Hamlet of Milford at furthest west end of Millpond by Heather Ross

    Bit overcast with light breeze and only 1 mm rain in past 24 hours. No wildlife apart from some green frogs hopping into the pond. Lots of green algae on both sides of the bridge.

    South Bay Cres Public Boat Launch by Don Ross

    Overcast, cool and windy with some light rain just beginning to spit as I was finishing testing. Frogs hopping into the water and crows squawking loudly. Lots of overgrowth of grasses, weeds and lily pads.

    Prinyer’s Cove Source by Don Ross

    Mostly overcast with fairly strong winds and no rain in past 24 hrs. Water today was flowing from the harbour side under the road culvert to the pond side , where normally the flow is opposite. Lots of swans out in the harbour and many lily pads and bullrushes here.

    Prinyer’s Cove Park & Boat Launch by Don Ross

    Partly cloudy with some storm clouds gathering and fairly windy. Many sailboats out on the lake taking advantage of these winds. No rain in past 24 hrs.

    East side of Hamlet of Milford K0K2P0 by Don Ross

    Overcast and very gusty winds this afternoon with about 6 MM rainfall in past 24 hrs. Some bugs, green frogs and crows around. Large log that came over the dam this spring has clogged up this area where the water, when flowing, would have an easier time of it. Result is more growth of weeds, brush, plants, etc but at least water flowing over the dam and downstream the past week or so, after being bone dry most of the summer.

    Overcast and very gusty winds this afternoon, with tiny bit of rain over past 24 hrs. No wildlife to be seen but lots of people out sailboarding on Smith’s Bay from a camp over on Waupoos Island.

    Picton Harbour at Mouth of Marsh Creek by Don Ross

    Overcast and raining currently with a bit of rain in past 24 hrs. Some ducks on the water. The fountain that is here that aerates this section of the harbour isn’t working now so more weeds accumulating.
