    Mundy Park by C E Thomson

    Pollen, needles on surface of water; much less duckweed(algae?) than previous month (remaining only near shore) 2 mallard couples observed American robin, song sparrow, pine siskin heard and confirmed by Merlin app. 2 mature turtles observed sunning on log (they were too distant to identify if they were painted turtles or red eared sliders). Water level remains high (but no flooding of shore)

    High water level, some flooding (less flooding than last month) Double crested Cormorant, 6 male and female mallards observed Noticeably less algae (duckweed?) observed

    No fishing at this time. No birds on open water. nothing on water surface residential discharge/urban/road discharge no algae still water; high water level clear water colour; cloudy clarity no odour

    Unable to reach usual location due to flooding of trail; utilized closest location to original location that was accessible: coordinates of today's location:49.25786 N; 122.82774 W Water Depth not able to be recorded....please note when looking at data trends for water depth (no depth data recorded on Jan. 28/24)

    West Lagoon - West/Main Deck by Burke Mountain Naturalists

    Waterfowl observed on west lagoon including: mallards, hooded mergansers, American widgeons, Northern shovelers, and coots, as well as Black-capped chickadees and juncos. Note: minor amounts of salt noted on observation platform deck to reduce slippage issues.
