    South of Victoria Street off Walter Bean trail, approx 60 ft South of railway bridge (Kitchener) by Alex Patterson

    Two osprey hunting, 1 caught 6" fish and returned toward nesting location. Multiple canoers passed @ 9:45. Test kit thermometer registering abnormally high; 55° in shade and water so air temp substituted from weather forecast (Google Weather). Many fish jumping. Smells of creosote and algae. Ph strip colour not matching key (pink). Used two strips to confirm. Storm expected in 45 minutes.

    Creek had a lot more biodiversity present due to calm weather and sunny day. Hundreds of minnows see throughout, new vegetation growing in some spots along waters edge and within flowing waters.

    South of footbridge by Joanne Arcand

    Fry at two different growth stages (forgot my id book at home) one stage about 3cm long, the other 6cm long but with the same shape and colouring. Saw one of those ruby bumble bees but it flew off before I could photograph.woodpecker working at the trunk of the maple overhead. Cicada sounding in the canopy.
