Two+ weeks of very hot (30-38°C) and dry weather. Wildfires in the area started two weeks ago after a lightning storm. This past week has been particularly smoky. No rain for a few weeks. Haven't seen as many ducks around lately.

Long Reach Rideau River by Linda Mellway McIntyre
During the month, we experienced high temperatures in the mid-30C with high humidity and no rain. This past week brought record-breaking rainfall of 130+ mm in 2 days! High winds were present most days. RVCA declared "moderate" water levels with cautions to avoid any excess water consumption even for those on wells. There is lots of seaweed in the water and water levels are slightly higher than the week before.
