    Britannia Bay Long Rock Point by Justin Langille

    Water has receded significantly from flood height, by 10-15 ft and 5-6 depth, see pictures May 06 vs June 09. Water still 4 feet higher than usual or so, shoreline still expanded. Three men fishing, many people visiting the rock point. Men caught three fish, "white fish" and catfish. Spider webs visible, large insect like a grasshopper I'm not familiar with. One person fishing said an eel was caught there last year, reported to the Ministry. Kayakers visible and seagulls.

    Baxter Conservation Area by Justin Langille

    Test taken from Baxter Conservation area beach. Seagulls, mosquitos and a dead crayfish were sighted as well as invasive Milfoil. Residential area across the river, two to three boats crossed. Area where Energy East will cross the Rideau River.

    Light East to to south east wind. Only two docks visible. Debris, stumps, etc from the flood along the shoreline. Weather is overcast and has been overcast for the last 24 hours.

    Water was very high. A lot of logs and debris onshore. High water line very evident on bushline along shore. (See pic) osprey flying overhead.
