About this dataset

The purpose is essentially two-fold.
1. To provide a health check for the R. Axe and tributaries
2. To assess the impact of known point sources (esp. sewage treatment works)

Certification requirements

We are members of the CaSTCo Community and are following recommended best practice with regards to water quality testing and gathering observational information.

Concerns
We are concerned about the condition of the Axe SSSI and SAC and want to use data to ensure that policy makers and local organisations with the ability to look after the river are doing their bit.
