    Fast flow and level is up from last month but banks not submerged. Willow showing spring signs (fresh leaves and catkins - bumble bee spotted). Bird song heard.

    Loads of flooding, brook has burst its banks. Fast flowing and very murky (light brown)

    Longbridge Mill by Jacqui Bean

    Fast flow observed with foamy brown debris floating past occasionally. The water clarity is muddy with bottom still visible. Noticeable higher than usual water level, widening of water coarse and has straightened out the visible banks on both sides. Willow branches trailing in water - no leaves. Very little sound of nature (usually hear various birds) - today there was no chatter.

    Eastrop Park by Kate Tuck

    Outfall pipe above test location was flowing. Water depth low. Tested here as soon as could as police pumped water from model boating lake into R. Loddon in search of gun on 24th December. Also raised with EA who may have tested day after event. There was an attempt to refill the model boating lake with water from the Loddon but flow was too low!

    Longbridge Mill by Jacqui Bean

    Recent heavy rain and stormy weather (past week) - Fast flow with bottom visible but not as clear as usual (looks slightly brown and grainy). River depth is a little higher than usual, swollen along both banks. Very mild air temperature. Willow has shed it's leaves and looks very bare. Small bird song heard plus a single kite swooping overhead.

    River had a fast flow and was clear. Not much in the way of insect or bird life heard or seen.

    Longbridge Mill by Jacqui Bean

    Fast flow of river, willow boughs overhanging water partially shading right bank. Spotted 1 x Signal Crayfish. Birds heard. Not much insect and fish life.

    Sunny and bright - some branches of the willow tree is dragging in the water and shading the entire testing spot. Spotted Swan, green shield bug and big red admiral. Elderberries in season on one side of the testing spot.

    Moderate flow and river bottom visible although has a brownish tinge - lots of leaf litter. Observed 3 x Signal Crayfish during walk by on 01/08/2025 - reported via irecord.

    There was a bird heard, not seen and not identified. Little other wildlife due to weather.
