Observations
-
8 August 2020
Hunters Point Lake near School by Keith Benard
Water depth was not recorded Secchi depth likely inaccurate as it was taken in the evening rather than midday Need to verify TDS, conductivity and pH values, suspect meter error as values seem high compared to historic data in this location.

8 August 2020
Jawbone's Bay by Paul Berube
Water is clear. No pollen observed Wind at 15/21 KL/h. SW Some difficulty with secchi reading because of the wind. Difficult to keep the boat stable.

2 August 2020
Jawbone's Bay by Paul Berube
Water is clear. Very small amounts of pollen in suspension Wind at 8 to 11 KL/h. E.

31 July 2020
Kipawa lake by Baie Pike by Christina Moreau
Camps, boats and a seagull nest along the shoreline Conductivity recorded as 736.2 mmHg - this is more likely the barometric pressure.
-
31 July 2020
Ottawa River off of Chem. Kipawa by Christina Moreau
Lots of construction in the area Conductivity recorded as 774.1 but units were not recorded, previous data sheets had units as mmHg this reading is suspect so it was not included. It is likely the barometric pressure.

28 July 2020
Turtle Camp (Turtle Point) by John Stark
Time was not recorded, 13:00 was entered as an approximate time. Water clear, no particles. No boat traffic.
-
28 July 2020
Hunters Narrows by John Stark
Time of test was not recorded, 12:30pm was entered as an estimate. Water clear no particles.

-
26 July 2020
Jawbone's Bay by Paul Berube
Winds at 9 to 40 kL/h W. I was sheltered from most of the wind during the secchi reading Overcast dark sky /dark out during secchi reading Less pollen in suspension

23 July 2020
Turtle Camp (Turtle Point) by John Stark
Time was no recorded 15:00 was entered in as an estimate.

23 July 2020
Hunters Narrows by John Stark
-
23 July 2020
Turtle Chutes by John Stark
Water looks clear, no suspended particles. pH is very low, however I don't believe it was an issue with the meter as other locations tested the same day had pH values of 6.2.
-
22 July 2020
Ottawa River off of Chem. Kipawa by Christina Moreau
Secchi disc reading likely isn't accurate due to flowing water Site is at a boat launch, right in front of Tembec (pulp and paper mill), heavy shoreline destruction. Water appears brown, two bridges close by. Conductivity value and units don't make sense - recorded as 744.3 mmHg. It is more likely the barometric pressure.
-
22 July 2020
Kipawa lake by Baie Pike by Christina Moreau
Lots of cabins nearby, testing was done 100 feet from shoreline Conductivity value recorded as 736.6 mmHg?
-
21 July 2020
Lake Caugnawana near portage to Blue Lake by Keith Benard
Very clear water Water depth was not recorded TDS and conductivity seem high compared to Kipawa
-
20 July 2020
Caugnawana Lodge Landing by Keith Benard
Very clear water. Water depth not recorded. TDS and conductivity much higher than Kipawa.
