  • 14 June 2019

    Turtle Chutes by John Stark

Winds from NW, slight chop on lake. Particles in the water, pollen in water and dandy lion heads blow in the air and landing in the water.

  • 14 June 2019

    Hunters Narrows by John Stark

Air full of pollen and particles in the water.

  • 7 June 2019

    Hunters Narrows by John Stark

Evidence of pollen particles in lake. Fairly good chop.

  • 6 August 2018

Hunter Lake/Edward's Narrows (Lake Kipawa) by Christina Moreau

Total phosphorus below detection limits (2 ug/L) Overcast 100% cloud cover, calm lake conditions - no wind or waves. Severe thunderstorms previous evening. Values also collected at a depth of 29 meters: Collection of depth sample occurred at 11:24am results were: Conductivity: 24 uS/cm TDS: 11 ppm pH: 6.49 Temperature 7.9

  • 6 August 2018

Turtle Camp (Turtle Point) by Christina Moreau

Overcast conditions (100% cloud cover), warm no windy or chop on the lake (100 flat calm) Sever thunderstorms previous evening, small forest fire observed and reported nearby (between Lac Audoin and Turtle Chutes) (caused by a lightning strike) A sample was collected at a depth of 31 meters and tested: Temperature 9.0C, TDS 16 ppm, pH 6.36, Conductivity 35 us/cm

  • 6 August 2018

Lac Audoin/Lac Hunters Point (Lake Kipawa) by Christina Moreau

E.coli and Fecal Coliforms not actually zero but below detection limits 2 CFU/100mL Total phosphorus below detection limits 2 ug/L A sample was collected at a depth of 19 meters and tested: Temp 9.6C, pH 6.47, conductivity 165 us/cm, TDS 27ppm A forest fire was observed and reported (at turtle chutes) while traveling from Lac Audoin to Turtle Camp. Location show on map is approximate, actual coordinates are 46.935433, -78.835533

  • 5 August 2018

    Grindstone/Mungo by Christina Moreau

    E. coli and fecal coliforms not zero but below detection limits <2CFU/100mL Sunny and warm, 50% cloud cover. Windy and slight chop on lake. A sample was taken at a depth of 14meters (it was difficult to remain in one spot due to wind). results were: Temp 14.2C, TDS 17ppm, pH 6.27, conductivity uS/cm.

  • 5 August 2018

    Lake McLaughlin by Christina Moreau

Sample taken at 23 meters using a van Dorn vertical sampler. Exact GPS coordinates were 46.852159 -78.628700 Windy conditions made staying in one spot difficult.

  • 5 August 2018

    Lake Kipawa by Christina Moreau

Dissolved oxygen from 3.6 mg/L at 11 meters to 7.2 mg/L at surface Total and fecal coliforms not zero but below detection limits (>2 CFU/100mL) Weather conditions sunny and warm, 20% cloud cover Windy, lake surface was choppy Boating and lots of activity in Red Pine Chute area, Lac McKillop (Lake McLaughlin) no boating activity.

  • 15 July 2018

Baie des Anglais / Lac Green by Donna Pariseau

Secchi disc had a brown/orange color in the water.

  • 16 November 2017

Baie des Anglais / Lac Green by Christina Moreau

Chlorophyll A <0.5 ug/L Total coliforms (CFU/100ml) = 6.5 Additional parameters metals, etc. were measured in addition to parameters entered above. For full test results see www.kipawalakepreservationsociety.ca
