Observations

  • 5 May 2024

Red Pine Chutes by Tom McDonald

    Water flowing quite quickly

  • 14 October 2023

Red Pine Chutes by Tom McDonald

    Location on map is approximate

  • 5 September 2023

Lac McLaughlin/McKenzie Camp by Tom McDonald

depth recorded as 42 but units not provided - could either be feet or meters, feet is more likely.

  • 16 August 2023

    Jawbone's Bay by Paul Berube

SW winds at 10 to 17 Km/h Ripples on the water made it more difficult to see Secchi disk. No pollen Note: I could not calibrate the Hanna instrument for the conductivity reading. I did not have the solution. I did calibrate for the pH readings.

  • 14 August 2023

    Hunter Lake by Christina Moreau

Increase in Aquatic vegetation in this area

  • 6 August 2023

    McKenzie Camp by Tom McDonald

pH reading started at 7.02 with stirring it dropped to 6.42, when movement stopped it settled at 6.48

  • 28 July 2023

    Jawbone's Bay by Paul Berube

West winds at 10 to 24km/h No pollen visible on the surface Less pollen in suspension

  • 14 July 2023

    Jawbone's Bay by Paul Berube

S.W. Winds at 10 to 15 km/h Clear skies Pollen in suspension but less than 2 weeks ago Very little pollen on the surface

  • 8 July 2023

    Lac McLaughlin by Tom McDonald

Lots of pollen until Friday Smoky haze is gone

  • 3 July 2023

    Lac McLaughlin by Tom McDonald

meter was acting up, pH recorded as 5.69 to 5.81 and TDS 10-12ppm, conductivity as 21-26 uS/cm however these readings are suspect given the difficulties experienced with the meter.

  • 29 June 2023

    Jawbone's Bay by Paul Berube

N.W. winds at 3 km/h Light pollen on surface and significant pollen in suspension

  • 28 June 2023

    Ferguson Bay by Tom McDonald

Meter was calibrated today, it was placed in cleaning solution and rinsed with distilled water prior to calibration.

  • 10 June 2023

    Jawbone's Bay by Paul Berube

SouthWest Winds at 8 to 14 Km/h Pollen suspended in water

  • 5 June 2023

Red Pine Chutes by Tom McDonald

Water depth was approximate. secchi depth reading may not be accurate due to wave action and current at this site.

  • 31 May 2023

Red Pine Chutes by Tom McDonald

Difficulty with pH readings with meter, readings fluctuating from 6.57 to 7.56

  • 29 May 2023

    Jawbone's Bay by Paul Berube

Pollen on the surface and in suspension The conductivity reading is high. Calibration process was completed without an issue. Will repeat test in 2 weeks.

  • 13 September 2022

Turtle Camp (Turtle Point) by John Stark

Leaves have already started to fall but there has not been a frost yet.
