Observations

  • 22 November 2024

Natural Wey River at Unstead close to bridge (Northside) by Trevor Murrells

  • 22 November 2024

Polsted Lane/Withies Lane stream by Trevor Murrells

Leaves have dammed up the stream to some degree but the water is still flowing to the exit points

  • 22 November 2024

Peperharrow swimming spot, by fish bypass by Rachel Hargreaves

  • 27 October 2024

    East Lagoon by Andrew Lockett

East Lagoon has been drained to cut encroaching willows, therefore it was not possible to take a water sample (and likely that the sediment will have been stirred up when it is reflooded).

  • 25 October 2024

Outflow from GSTW into Wey Natural River: Trunley Heath Road by Trevor Murrells

Sample taken from water surging from the outflow pipe. Some bubbles were produced which soon dispersed. There was a washing machine smell.

  • 25 October 2024

Outlet into Pond Wood by Trevor Murrells

Not tested. No water was coming from either of the two pipes. A small pool had formed near to the pipes, maximum depth only a couple of inches, with lots of natural debris on the surface and in the pool. The main pond had little visible water, and the muddy pond bed was covered with duckweed.

  • 25 October 2024

Natural Wey River at Unstead close to bridge (Northside) by Trevor Murrells

  • 25 October 2024

Polsted Lane/Withies Lane stream by Trevor Murrells

The water no longer appears to exit into the ditch (blocked by tree base/root) and instead leaves via the pipe which takes water to Withies Pond

  • 28 September 2024

From Godalming Treatment Works by Andrew Lockett

High Nitrates (as usual), Phosphates seems higher than usual?

  • 28 September 2024

Unstead Exit (outflow) by Andrew Lockett

Pretty grown over so hard to get sample. Both Nitrates and Phosphates high this month (despite lots of rain?)

  • 28 September 2024

    East Lagoon by Andrew Lockett

Low Nitrates, but high Phosphates. East Lagoon is being drained to allow cutting encroaching Willows, hence flow in from culvert has been blocked off for a few days. This might account for the high Phosphates?

  • 28 September 2024

Polsted Lane/Withies Lane stream by Trevor Murrells

Withies Pub Pond quite full so the pipe may be allowing water through from the stream

  • 27 September 2024

Outflow from GSTW into Wey Natural River: Trunley Heath Road by Trevor Murrells

Sample taken directly from the river not the pipe, the river surface was high due to recent rain

  • 27 September 2024

Outlet into Pond Wood by Trevor Murrells

Main pond has returned, lots of duckweed on its surface, smaller pool where sample taken has no duckweed, depth no more than 3 inches

  • 27 September 2024

Natural Wey River at Unstead close to bridge (Northside) by Trevor Murrells

    Heavy rain in recent days
