    Larder Lake Marina by Don Ross

    Overcast with a few inches of snow in past 24 hrs. Summer dock removed so tested from end of pier so water level will reflect much lower than when dock is in place. Loon fishing out in the lake and an otter seen swimming along nearby. Seagulls in the air.

    Partly cloudy and windy. No wildlife seen at this time.

    Black River marsh outlet from stream by Don Ross

    Very windy and raining lightly now. About 8 mm rainfall in past 24 hrs. Canada Geese have been flying overhead and heading for the millpond. River on this side now flowing a bit and enough to test again now that dam and beavers removed from other side of roadway.

    I've never seen the water this low in the fall for so long. I'm not sure if it's in preparation for spring flooding by keeping it low for the winter or for working on the Carillon Damb below the reservoir.

    First Bridge on County Rd 28 by Heather Ross

    Sunny with some clouds and windy. No rain in past 24 hrs. No water flow at all from north side to south due to beaver dam on that side of roadway. Much green algae and mucky bottoms showing due to lack of water . No wildlife today. Extremely high conductivity and barely any dissolved oxygen. Someone parked alongside bridge and dumped their garbage here. Notified Quinte Conservation about this and the beaver activity.
