    WILDLIFE - two blue herons; one which flew by and another which strolled right by the testing site - also some migrating warblers around, although I didn't get a good enough look to ID them

    Water temperature may be off; unable to safely reach spot 10 cm deep. Lots of algae rolling in and out with waves just west of testing spot.

    Slight visible turbidity, trace yellowish colour, algae visible, low flow, similar as observations made Sept 22.

    Clear colourless water with minor organic debris floating in current. Small fish observed. No change in flow rate or water level since previous weeks observation.

    Mimico Creek north of Lake Shore Boulevard and west of Parklawn Road by Korice Moir

    Blue jay. Dog walker. Cloudy water. Kent did this test on own. Location involves walking down creek bank. Slippery today due to heavy rain overnight. See ‘Guardians’ for comparative results using regular test strips compared to these machine learning ones.

Concerns
Data was collected as part of a study that Water Rangers ran. We were attempting to develop a machine learning tool to read teststrips.

Benchmarking of water body or watershed health, Education and engagement of local communities
