reason that this location has been added is that the SWO at this location started discharging on the 14th August 2026, reported and investigated by Thames water on the 17th August 2026.  They said that it was fresh water, it isnt any longer, there is a strong smell of blocked drain/sewage and visible sewage fungus that is clinging to plants downstream and now polluting the waterway. \r\n\r\nAll samples are taken directly from the  SWO discharge, please see attachment showing discharging swo, before/upstream and after/downstream results. Please also note that the ammonia level was flasing 3mg/l meaning that its above it.\r\n\r\nThe picture of the swo shows a visble milky white effluent, significant surfactant foaming accumulating at the base and sewage fungus straining growing.\r\n\r\nYou may wonder why the phosphate level is lower at the discharging SWO than upstream and downstream but this is a sign of pollution.   Ammonia doesnt destroy the phosphate but environmental conditions and the sewage fungus affect the readings.\r\n\r\nHigh biological consumption - ammmonia acts as a massive shot of nitrogen for the sewage fungus which builds a slimy mass. The bacteria, Sphaerotilus natans eats the nitrogen and phosphate. Its still there but in solid form and my hannah checkers cannot measure it.  It then spikes again after the discharge enters the water.  Sewage fungus breaks off, dies and release the stored phosphate, giving higher readings. \r\n\r\nDetergents contain condensed phosphates, which my hannah checkers cannot read. They also contain surfactants designed to bind dirt, organic matter/phosphates etc together inside suspended solid particles \"rags\".\r\n\r\nThis brook normally has high phosphate levels at the CSO just upstream from here and today was no different, the phosphate level was 1.72mg/l , ammonia 0.09mg/l, which had reduced to phosphate 1.29mg/l, ammonia 0.2mg/l downstream at this site, just upstream from this SWO, which just highlights how much pollution is entering via this SWO with its readings of phosphate 0.75mg/l, ammonia 3/ flashing meaning its higher, then after phosphate 2.5mg/l, ammonia 3mg/l.\r\n\r\nThis has been reported to Thames water and i will
