Rain in previous 24 hours
This parameter is part of the newly defined UK National Protocol as part of CaSTCo. This description is preliminary and will be updated shortly.
Choose the description that best suits the levels of rain in the previous 24 hours. Rainfall has a significant influence on expected river conditions. In large catchments the effect on water quality can last for several days. It might be normal and acceptable to observe higher turbidity levels after heavy, but if the same results were recorded during dry weather that could indicate a pollution event.
